Westend Health is a general wellness app that displays indicative measurement data produced by the Westend Armband (or using similar protocol family or equivalent). The app shows heart rate, steps and, depending on device support, HRV and HR for everyday fitness and lifestyle tracking.

The Westend Armband is a consumer wellness wearable and not a regulated medical device. Westend Health is not a medical device and is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of any disease or condition.

Measurements in Westend Health are for general wellness insight only. The app helps you follow trends in real time and over the longer term, but results may vary depending on the user, the device, and measurement conditions (for example, movement, sensor placement, or skin contact).

Westend Health does not provide medical interpretations, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or clinical decision support. Do not make medical decisions based on the app’s data. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any questions or decisions related to your health. The app is not suitable for emergencies; in an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

External Device Requirement

This app measures heart rate using an **external BLE-compatible device**.
The app works with **Fitcare heart rate sensors** or other compatible BLE devices.

The app **does not use Apple HealthKit**, and no data is stored in or synchronized with HealthKit.

Heart rate data is processed **only within the Westend Health app** and is not shared with third parties.

The skin temperature sensing feature is not intended for medical use.

Getting started

• A Bluetooth connection is required; iOS may request location permission for device scanning.
• Measurement availability (e.g. HRV, HR) depends on the device and firmware.
