- Launchpad Mini MK3 support added.
Quick instructions for the Launchpad Mini MK3 users:
- press Session button to switch between Performance Mode (blue) and Session Mode (green).
- in Performance Mode, use the top 3 right hand buttons (">") to select between Performance, Step Sequencer and Pattern Settings layouts correspondingly.
- in Performance Mode, press Up + Down arrow buttons simultaneously to switch to layout editing mode (arrows will start to pulse red), where Up/Down buttons shift the layout, and Left/Right buttons select the Pad Mode for the Block 1. Press Up + Down again to switch back to normal mode, where Up/Down buttons control the Octave, and Left/Right buttons select the Part.
- in Performance Mode, press Left + Right buttons simultaneously to toggle between the Bar select mode (buttons become blue).
- in Session Mode, the bottom right button (Stop/Solo/Mute) activates the Mixer Mode;
- in Mixer Mode, select layout with the right hand buttons (Volume, Pan, Send A/B, Stop Clip, Solo and Mute).
Other features of this update:
- Midi file import added. Copy your midi files into GR-2 Documents/MidiFiles folder and access them from Browser -> Midi Files tab. Nested folders supported.
- added nested folders support for user SF2 folder;
- fixed: Arpeggiator now supports note midi channels and works on Drum Rack parts and sliced layers;
- fixed: Last Knob Control + AUv3 knobs were working on Part 1 only;
- fixed: Last Knob Control + LFO Mod Destinations knobs were working on Part 1 only;

Use 16 x 16 clip launch grid and Ableton Link feature to synchronize GR-2 with other music apps and gear. Connect your midi controllers to control GR-2 parameters via midi. Crossfade between your patterns in a DJ style with onscreen crossfader and EQ controls!
• CREATE FULL LENGTH TRACKS
Timeline-based song mode editor allows you to arrange and edit midi clips in a professional DAW manner. Record and edit parameters automation. Copy, paste, duplicate clips as well as entire time ranges. Export & share your compositions as a master audio file or as separated stems.
• SKETCH YOUR MUSICAL IDEAS
- use layering for instruments (up to 3 layers per part)
- process with built-in realtime insert effects (3 IFX per part)

Added support for the Novation Launchpad X midi controller, with slightly different functionality comparing to the LP Pro MK3.
Some instructions for the LPX users:
- press Session button to switch between Performance Mode (blue), Session Mode (green) and Mixer Mode (yellow).
- Use Record button as Play/Stop. Hold down the Record button to toggle it between Play (green) and Record (red) mode;
- in Performance Mode, use Volume, Pan and Send A buttons to select between Performance, Step Sequencer and Pattern Settings layouts correspondingly.
- in Performance Mode, press Up + Down arrow buttons simultaneously to switch to layout editing mode (arrows will start to pulse red), where Up/Down buttons shift the layout, and Left/Right buttons select the Pad Mode for the Block 1. Press Up + Down again to switch back to normal mode, where Up/Down buttons control the Octave, and Left/Right buttons select the Part.
- in Performance Mode, press Left + Right buttons simultaneously to toggle between the Bar select mode (buttons become blue).
- in Mixer Mode, select layout with the right hand buttons (Volume, Pan, Send A/B, Stop Clip, Mute, Solo, Rec Arm). The latter (Rec Arm) only selects the Part.

- Launchpad: added 4x4 pad layout, selectable from the Settings -> Midi -> Launchpad Pro MK3 / LPX -> Pads Layout;
- Launchpad: hold down the arrow buttons to scroll the grid / mixer views.
- Launchpad: pressing a slice or drum now selects it in the UI;
- Launchpad: you can now set the clip loop length by holding the bar select button and pressing a step;
- Launchpad: added Stop Clip layout;
- Launchpad: VU Meters in the Mute, Solo and Stop Clip layouts can now be switched off to show the clip grid instead. Use Shift + Volume button on LP Pro, or hold Volume button on LPX;
- fixed: when loading a drum rack preset, drum labels were not resetting to the defaults;
- fixed: in the Scale mode (Clip Editor), dragging a note down caused incorrect jumping of the view to the bottom of the keyboard;
- fixed: Last Knob Control was not working with knobs on Layer > 1, KBD TRK knob and EQ knobs in the Mixer page;
- fixed: Last Knob Control was not working with LFO Destination knobs and 9 pre-defined AUv3 knobs;
- fixed: GR-2 was sometimes not connecting via Inter-App Audio with the host apps (e.g. AUM) if audio input was enabled and host app started before the GR-2;
- relative midi autodetecting improved to not interfere with the regular midi knobs;

- Midi Output / Virtual Midi Output ports added (disabled by default);
- Midi Channel parameter added for each Part, accessible from the Part Parameters page. It is used during the Midi Input and Midi Output;
- added Relative Midi knobs support;
- added Last Touched Knob Control feature, which allows you to control knobs with a single assigned midi CC: you first touch the desired knob on the screen and then turn your midi controller knob to tweak it. This feature is off by default and needs to be activated from Settings -> Midi -> Midi CC Control menu -> Last Knob Control;
- Ableton Link updated to support Start/Stop feature (disabled by default);
- Settings Page: various synchronization settings were moved into a separate SYNC menu;
- added sample recording Sync function, which allows you to snap start/stop of the audio recording to the beat or bar, allowing to record perfect loops on the fly. It is off by default and is located in the Settings -> Sync -> Sample Editor -> Record Sync;
- new mixer-related knobs design for better clarity;
- oscillogram visualizer: added plus / minus buttons to change wave zoom factor;
- added LUFS level indicator on the main page;
- added song time indicator for the Song mode in the top title bar;
- added new "Save Pattern" shortcut button, which is now accessible on any screen from the top title bar (the "disc" icon); its brightness depends on how many unsaved changes you have made to the pattern;
- added a "song loop on" indicator icon in the top title bar when in the Song mode;
- pattern's AUv3 mark in the title bar is moved to the left side of the bar under the CPU meter;
- Undo while recording (Song mode): now tapping Undo will not stop the record;
- global Metronome setting is split into 2 new separate independent settings: Click (Off, REC, Always On) and Rec Precount (Off, 1 Bar, 2 Bars);
- fixed: built-in synths were not reacting to midi pitch bend events, generated by Midi FX units;
- several fixes in the Sample Editor, when selection/slice locators were sometimes reset during undo, edit or record;

Introducing integration with the Novation Launchpad Pro mk3 midi controller, which includes:
- Access to the Session clip 16x16 grid from the controller. Launch and stop clips and scenes by pressing the corresponding pad or button. Toggle between Grid mode and Performance mode by pressing Session button;
- Hold Clear or Duplicate button on LP Pro and press/swipe pads to instantly delete or duplicate whole groups of clips in the Session Grid from the controller;
- Press Shift + Duplicate + Clip pad to instantly double clip's loop size (Duplicate Loop function);
- Hold Quantize button + press Clip pad to perform a quantize on clip's notes;
- Part Mute and Solo modes with visualized level meters on LP Pro device;
- Adjust part Levels, Pan and Send FX Amounts with fader banks, displayed on the LP Pro device;
- In Performance mode, four different pad modes (8x2 pads each) can be seen simultaneously, reflecting current GR2 state (Mute, Erase, Trigger, Step, Notes, Chords/Slices/Drums or Jump). Pad mode is selected with red track buttons in the bottom. Shift the layout up or down by pressing Shift + Up or Down arrow button;
- Octave selector (red Up/Down arrows), Bar selector for step mode (blue track buttons), Part select buttons (white Left/Right arrows);
- Shift + Undo/Redo, Shift + Tap Tempo, Shift + Metronome Click functions;
- New extended Step Editor mode (in addition to the standard one), which allows to display up to 32 steps simultaneously on the LP Pro device! Use bar select buttons to browse thru 16 bars of the clip. Add/remove drums or notes from steps, adjust step/note velocities and step probabilities right from the LP Pro device. Press a step to immediately select it in the GR2 Note Editor;
- Hold Clear button and tap/swipe the steps to clear them;
- Hold Duplicate button, tap a step (Copy) and then tap another step (or series) to distribute (Paste) the source step.
Other features and bug fixes in this update:
- trigger conditions updated to allow easier assignment of the probability to the group of simultaneously played notes. You just set the condition function to the one "control" note in a group, and then set the "Prev" function to all the other notes. No need to shift the "control" note a bit earlier anymore, because now it has a higher priority over the other notes;
- now you can draw velocities of selected notes with the second touch, while holding the velocity dragger with the first touch;
- Step mode, step selector: now you can tap on the piano roll (or drum list) in the Note Editor to select the note/drum lane you want to edit steps for. No need to drag up/down the 1st step selector pad;
- Step mode: now it works not only on the Note Editor page, but also when the other pages are shown;
- Step mode: every new step you add immediately gets selected in the Note Editor;
- when using pattern "Save As" dialog, you can now enter a blank name to generate another random pattern name;
- Clip text labels added on the Song timeline view. Select clip(s) and go to the hamburger menu -> Rename Clips;
- fixed: Midi AU FX can now output various midi data, including midi CC's, Program Change, Aftertouch / Pressure and Pitch Bend events (previously only note events were allowed);
- fixed: Erase pad mode was not working properly in the Song Mode;
- fixed: incorrect bar numbering for looped clips with non zero loopStart marker was displayed;

- fixed: GR-16 pattern import did not work;
- Ableton Link: now the sync works between different devices in the local Wi-Fi network;
- added two new Part output destination options - FX A and FX B. Now you can route any Part's output directly to the FX A or FX B bus to use its effect slots as inserts;

- fixed crash on early iPadOS 16 when tapping "Import Samples From Files..." crashed the app;
- fixed crash when loading large sf2 bank file which does not fit in RAM. Instead it now shows the error message;
- fixed UI stutter bug which happened when Bluetooth keyboard was connected to the iPad;
- fixed: "Edit" was sometimes grayed out in the clip popup menu. Tip: double tapping on a clip also opens the clip editor;
- fixed issue when after selecting chromatic scale and exiting it piano roll displayed incorrectly;
- fixed: note names were displayed incorrectly in the step selector when Scale Mode was turned on;
- fixed: UI freezing when importing folder from Files (process still can take up to several minutes, depends on the system). Now it displays "Importing Folder (in background)" message and lets user to operate the interface;
- fixed: zooming issue on a very short samples in the Sample Editor;

- fixed bug with bluetooth midi devices, which were not connecting properly with GR-2;
- fixed crash when reordering parts on the Mixer page;
- fixed: part modulation wheel / pitch bend values were not correctly restoring for AUv3 audio units;
- added partial support for AUv3 units which do not provide proper support for automation recording, with info message for these audio units;
- redefine AU knobs algorithm can now detect some parameters of AUv3 audio units mentioned above (use it when playback is stopped);
- added a number of layer and part presets into Factory Bank A;
- added random pattern name generator for newly created patterns (shown in Save dialog);
