    StrengthLog – Workout Tracker

    StrengthLog – Workout Tracker

    Workout Log & Programs

    更新日志

Are you ready for this? This version has not only one but TWO new, great features! At least we think they’re great, but you’ll be the judge.

The first is Streaks, the other is Training reports.

Let’s explain both of them, one by one.

Streaks: We’ve had a goal feature in the app for years now, for setting up and reaching one-time goals—like hitting a new PR weight, a body measurement, or a specific number of sets in any exercise. With the new Streaks feature, you can finally set up continuous goals—like working out three times weekly, doing 50 push-ups daily, or taking a creatine supplement daily.

How long will you be able to keep your new streaks alive?

When creating a streak, you have two options: workout logging streaks and manual check-off streaks. The first kind is used for things you do in the gym and log in your workouts (meaning they get checked off automatically when you save a workout). The other kind, manual check-off, is perfect for different habits you want to establish, like remembering to take your creatine, eat a fruit, or read 20 pages of a book (this can be anything, it really is up to you).

You can also set whether you want push notifications to remind you (and the time and days of the week the app should send them).

Premium users can create an unlimited number of streaks. The feature also comes with a new iOS widget.

Training reports: This is a gift to our premium users, and you’ll find it in the training log. Every time a month or year is over, the app will generate a training report that summarizes how you trained during that period, showing the number of workouts, volume, reps, sets, time in the gym, muscles worked, workout and weekly averages, most trained exercises, and new personal records. You can also compare any training report with the previous month or year.

We think that both new features are pretty, pretty sweet.

    Also:
    - Two new features in the plate calculator: You can now assign exercises custom barbell weights instead of the standard barbell, and you can pick custom colors for your weight plates.
    - The muscles worked feature now has settings for target sets, meaning you can change the default setting of 10 sets/week to any number you want. Either for all muscle groups or for each muscle individually.
    - Two new achievements, connected to daily and weekly streaks.
    - The Goal feature got a facelift, too, to better align with Streaks.
    - The training log now has a “since start” summary at the top when users have logged workouts during at least two calendar years.
    - Old bugs replaced with new bugs.

People claim that it’s only a myth that Sisyphus had to endlessly roll that huge boulder up a steep hill. But we’re here to tell you that it sounds like a great exercise routine, unlike releasing endless bug fixes.

At least, we’ve finally fixed the PR bug for pound users. We think. You’ll let us know otherwise.

We also performed open heart surgery on workout and program sharing, bringing the URL creation back to life.

Apart from this, this update mainly contains minor design improvements.

Our official story is that we broke superset merging because we wanted to find out if any of you guys and gals were using that feature. You clearly were, so we fixed it again.

We also fixed the ability to add dates to planned workouts via the widget on the start screen. Here we can’t even think of an excuse as to why we broke it.

Look, a minor update! Wonder how many of these we’ll release before stepping up to v7.2?! Our guess is eight more. Don’t hold us accountable.

Anyhoo, we’re mostly cleaning up in here. Depending on your system settings for text size, you can now have the in-app text smaller than our standard setting. And we fixed an annoying PR bug for users of imperial units instead of the metric system.

We fixed other bugs too, of course. The dream of a bug free app lives on.

    更新日志

Hear us out, you got nothing to fear. When you open the app, new design all over the map! Where you going? Don’t leave. Come back. Hear us out!

Yes, we’ve redesigned the app. And yes, everyone hates change. But we’ve only redesigned the most important parts of the app, like active workouts, the training log, your profile page, and the settings page.

If it’s any consolation, the changes are an evolution, not a revolution. Give it a few workouts before you send an angry letter to app@strengthlog.com.

    But wait, there’s more!
    • The set timer has gotten a progress bar. We’ve turned it on for you (how else would you know it’s there?), but you can turn it off in the timer settings.
    • We’re abandoning metric tons and k lb, meaning going forward we’ll only show weights lifted in kg and lb.
    • The page for body measurements now has instructions on how to measure each body part.
    • You can also sort the exercise selector after your most used exercises (alphabetical is still the default sorting).
    • There’s probably a lot more, but we’ve worked on version 7.0 for so long that our memories aren’t what they used to be.

    Apple Watch:
    • New colors and design changes to better align with the phone app.
    • You can now view video demos for exercises directly on your watch.
    • Exercise blocks in active workouts are now movable.
    • Add cardio and mobility exercises directly from the watch.
    • Users with Swedish selected on their phone apps will now have the watch app in Swedish, too.
