As the leader of one of the last remnants of civilization, you must manage your citizens, use resources to expand your outpost, and protect your citizens from both starvation and zombies.
In the face of this great challenge, you are given control over the construction of new buildings for your citizens to live and work in. Striking the right balance of building types is critical to maintaining the resource stockpiles so valuable to your citizens. Equip your workforce with the right tools for the job as the needs of your Outpost are shaped by its growth. Craft weapons to protect and defend your Outpost from zombies that wander too close...

Okay, you’re right- it’s actually v2.3. But this really is version 2 for Final Outpost! The game has changed massively since we released it over 5 years ago. And we had to burn through a lot of version numbers while developing the new DEFINITIVE edition...
===PATCH 2.3.2===
• Fixed an issue where metal sheets were erroneously treated as ‘overflow’ resources, rendering them unusable
• Removed a visual glitch on citizens when leaving the forest
• Loading screen is no longer invisible - finally the new animation can be seen!
• Fixed resource numbers occasionally not updating in top bar when a building is demolished
• Fixed lingering sound effect after destroying a Forge
• Fixed typos and translations in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese
• Updated the credits
===NEW===
• New original soundtrack throughout the game!
• Added four original tracks that play intermittently in-game
• New and improved loading screen – with much shorter loading times
• Added new SFX for population increase, rubble cleared, crafting, and job assignment
• New splash screen intro
• Improved visuals for the cutscene skip option
• Added some more variety to the grass and visual improvements to trees and seasons

• Added a warning indicator for when zombies are damaging a wall that has no knife fighters assigned to it
• Knife fighters now prioritise the left and right walls before the top and bottom walls
• Added ability to choose whether to enable tutorial tips when creating a new save slot
• Added an indicator and sound effect for when survivors arrive at the gates
• Hourly event notifications (e.g. “15 citizens went hungry”) now immediately replace existing similar notifications when possible
• Added a badge to the job menu tab that shows when there are unassigned citizens
• Added a badge to skill menu tab that shows when there are unspent skill points
• Added a cross icon to birth progress text when population capacity is reached or there is no food
• Buffed scavenger inventory size for late-game skill upgrades
• Increased sniper damage to 60 (from 50)
• Barbed wire walls do 3x more damage to zombies
• Knife fighters now prioritise the left wall
• Added an indicator for barbed wire in the wall upgrade menu
• Added ammo information to the turret upgrade menu
• Tweaked zombie death animation
• Reduced the delay on the harvest sound effect
• Moved the pickaxe down by two rows in the crafting menu
• Building upgrade menus now display material values in red when there is not enough of the corresponding resource available for an upgrade
• Rain and snow particle effects are now affected less by increased game speed
• Added an improved return button to many menus
• New Blood Moon countdown icon
• The skill point gain animation is now 2s (from 3s) and independent of game speed
• Allow interaction through the skill point gain animation
• Increased the duration range of all weather events to 5-48h (from 3-48h) except droughts, which now last 12-72h
• Increased probability of droughts
• Reduced volume and added random pitch variation to the citizen death sound effect
• Citizens dropping off resources already at maximum capacity create a new +0 indicator instead of adding to an existing non-zero indicator
