The Defence Update is here. The changelog is so long that we had to publish the balance changes on our Discord server!

===BETTER ZOMBIES===
• 3 new zombie types! Introducing:
• The Curious Zombie - tougher and has a certain propensity for wall-shaped objects
• The Runner Zombie - runs toward your walls, attracting other zombies along with it
• The Armoured zombie - armour-cladded and takes significantly reduced damage without piercing ammunition
• All-new natural zombie behaviour
• Completely overhauled zombie difficulty progression, including hand-crafted hordes to defend your Outpost against
• Improved noise system - noises no longer attract all zombies and weapon upgrades reduce chance of attraction
• There are now slightly more zombies in the world after unlocking a new wall

===FINAL OUTPOST 1.4 IS HERE===
The Food Update is the first in a series of major updates coming to Final Outpost this year. This update includes a redesigned food system, improved progression experience, and much more.

===HUNTING OVERHAUL===
• By popular demand: Meat storage!
• Build as many meat drying racks as you like
• Meat drying racks update dynamically, showing how much meat you have
• Hunters now hunt from a population of animals, taking longer to catch their prey
• When animal populations reach critically low levels, the population will recover more slowly
• Each piece of meat feeds more citizens (consumption is 0.1/hr from 0.5/hr)

===FARMING OVERHAUL===
• Farms now operate on a 3-day growth cycle, introducing an element of planning
• Farmers generate wheat in their farm which can be harvested once fully grown
• Each piece of wheat feeds more citizens (consumption is 0.5/hr from 1/hr)
• Wheat left in farms will gradually decay if not harvested after 6 hours
• Increased storage capacity of granaries
• Farms now require base level 4 to be constructed
• Increased farm and tweaked granary upgrade costs

===STARVATION CHANGES===
• Citizen starvation is now more realistic and fair, allowing you to react and take control of the situation
• Deaths from starvation happen more gradually rather than in big waves
• Birth rate now increases linearly with population
• Reduced the birth rate for larger populations
• Progress toward the next birth is reset when food is not available
• Likelihood of hunters and farmers dying reduced slightly relative to other jobs
