Medgate offers the Sanitas Medgate App especially for you as a Sanitas customer. The App gives you easy, fast and secure access to comprehensive medical care by phone or video. Book a medical consultation directly with one of our 90 doctors without calling in advance – 24 hours a day, from wherever you are. Benefit from our 18 years of experience in telemedicine.

Here’s how it works:
1. Enter your medical concern
2. Choose and book the time when the doctor should call you
3. Consultation by video or phone
4. Receive a prescription or doctor’s certificate from the doctor if needed
5. View summary of the doctor’s recommendation on the App
6. For people insured with Telmed: add or update a referral directly online

Functions of the Sanitas Medgate App

The Sanitas Medgate App has many advantages for people insured with the Telmed model.
• Direct booking of medical consultations
• Overview of all treatments
• Notification of referrals and extension of treatment duration

Booking and medical advice
• Direct appointment booking for a medical consultation by phone or video
• Advice and treatment by experienced Medgate doctors in four languages (German, French, Italian, English)
• Requests for prescriptions, medical certificates and referrals to a specialist
• Option to assess doctors and mark them for future treatments

Digital treatment plan
• View summary of doctor's consultation, including medical treatment recommendations (medical data will not be sent to Sanitas)
• Overview of all treatments arranged and registered with Medgate
• Report referrals and extension of treatment duration

Access
• People whose health insurer is a Medgate Partner or who have a Medgate membership
• Easy access with Touch ID

Security
Security is a top priority for Sanitas and Medgate’s Partner Network. That is why Medgate attaches great importance to data protection with the Sanitas Medgate App. The user’s identity is checked with a verification process based on the identity card.
Medical data will not be sent to Sanitas. The developer, distributor and operator of the App is the Medgate Partner Network. Medical services are provided by members of the Medgate Partner Network.
